PUB - UPDATE re Environment Agency waste water compliance

During the past two months we have received numerous inquiries from public houses / breweries asking if their waste water treatment systems comply with the current Environment Agency guidelines.

Unfortunately the answer was NO, due to ;-

> property has a septic tank discharging to a water course.

> no grease trap

> no consent / permit to discharge ( illegal discharge which could lead to property / owner prosecution and the discharge stopped until the appropriate sewage treatment system has been installed / upgraded )
